📄 APD Policies — ALPR & Video Surveillance

Ayer Police Department's Lexipol-published Policy 426 (Automated License Plate Readers) and Policy 336 (Public Safety Video Surveillance System).

Note on hosting The Town of Ayer does not publish its police policy manual on its public website (verified June 2026). We could not find a publicly-accessible copy of Policy 426 or 336 anywhere — Lexipol does not host them publicly either. This PDF is hosted here under fair use, because (a) the records were lawfully released under MA G.L. c. 66 §10, (b) the policies govern public conduct yet are otherwise inaccessible to the public, and (c) the purpose is news reporting, commentary, and criticism. If Lexipol or the Town would prefer to provide a public link, we will replace this hosted copy with that link.
